Small towns are great places to shop local. Many boutiques have fabulous, curated collections hand picked by the owners. On a recent trip to Amelia Island, Florida, I found loads of stores with reasonable prices to bring in locals and visitors. We found a few stops that we know you won’t want to miss during your next visit. When you need to navigate Amelia Island shopping, you can’t go wrong on Centre Street.

Lemongrass Amelia Island, 215 Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. A well-designed store will always dragged in customers, and Lemongrass was no exception. I could have spent all day in this shop. Each piece looked like it belonged with the others. Boots, jackets, dresses, and jewelry, as well as a few fun mugs and plates, were displayed on old shelves, dressers and anything else the owner could find. Basically it looked like an Anthropologie with better prices and much more intimate décor.

Out of Hands, 300 Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. I’m not always a fan of beach shops, but I do love kitschy accessories and linens. I found a pair of simple drop earrings, a lotus blossom necklace and a new wallet at Out of Hands. There was so much more I could have bought. The Bungalow 360 purses make great gifts, as well as the black and white signs that scream your love for the ocean, your dog and even beer.

Bijoux Amelia, 317A Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Pashminas and hats are what drew me into this Amelia Island shop. I just can’t say no to either and Bijoux Amelia had them in spades. I walked out with a gorgeous pashmina at a fabulous price. No hat this trip, but I may have to go back just to see what their spring collection carries.

Twisted Sisters! 402 Centre St, Amelia Island, FL 32034. Eclectic doesn’t even begin to describe Twisted Sisters! Every local I chatted with asked if I had popped in yet. I’m so glad they steered me towards this large shop, possibly one of the largest on the Centre Street. Specialty house and cooking wear take up one side. Accessories and jewelry, as well as seasonal items can be found in the middle. The left side of the store is swimming in shoes, sweaters, trousers and more apparel you will want to try on.

Fernandina’s Fantastic Fudge, 218 Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Fudge rarely steers you wrong. The smells coming out of Fernandina’s Fantastic Fudge shop drag you in by the nose and leave you in front of a case of fudge, chocolates and truffles. Don’t miss out on the popcorn either. Their kettle corn is addictive and worth the price.

Amelia Island Coffee, 207 Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Yes, this is a coffee shop, but that’s what makes it perfect for your Amelia Island shopping adventure. You can grab a cappuccino while you stock up on local grounds.

The Book Loft214 Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. The local book shop is not dead. It is alive and well in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The window display is what drew me in. The book collection for every age kept me browsing for a bit. I found a few new titles to add to my bedside table too.

One last Amelia Island shopping adventure you don’t want to skip is down on the south side of Amelia Island. If you love salt, you will love The Salt Shop at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. This specialty store within the hotel is home to multiple-flavored salts that are great for cooking, as well as one of the best salted caramels you will ever taste.

This is such a great list with wonderful photos of some of the best shops on Amelia Island! You did forget the adorable little toy store, Villa Villekulla Toys, on S. 2nd Street. Hopefully you can pop by next time you visit!
