Juniper Cranberry Gin Sour Recipe

  • Boston shaker
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz cranberry juice use white cranberry juice if you want a lighter color
  • ½ oz juniper simple syrup
  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
  • egg white or 1 oz aquafaba

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
  • Dry shake (no ice) for about 15 seconds to build foam.
  • Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
  • Double strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a chilled coupe glass.

Twist on the Recipe

Add 2 drops of orange bitters for a subtle citrus lift and extra depth. It's really good splashed right on top of the foam.

Mocktail Version

  • Replace gin with non-alcoholic gin, following the same method
  • Or substitute the gin with sparkling cranberry juice for a lighter, more refreshing build
Keep the lemon and juniper syrup for balance, and include aquafaba if you want that classic sour-style foam.
